The Leg Lamp was 50 inches in height and 20 inches at the widest point of the shade. A lot of the replicas that are available to buy online are only 45″ these are smaller than the official measurements of the original ‘A Christmas Story’ leg lamp.

- During the holiday season in 2019 a post sales report from Amazon stated that if you stacked every Christmas Story Leg Lamp purchased during Christmas, on top of each other, they would reach the top of Mount Everest.
- None of the original Leg Lamp props used in the movie survived, all 3 were broken during filming.
- There is a whole museum located in Cleveland that is dedicated to A Christmas story, which you can stay overnight in.
- A paralympian named Josh Sundquist, lost his leg after a battle with cancer when he was just nine years old, entered a Halloween competition in 2018. He created the “leg lamp costume” and dressed his only leg as the lamp. He went on to win the competition.
